In June 2024, we organized a phone banking event to rally support for Illinois bill HB4895, aiming to bring climate change education to public high schools starting in the 2025-2026 school year. This bill is crucial for preparing students to understand both the scientific and social impacts of climate change, empowering them to address environmental challenges. Our volunteers reached out to hundreds of community members, urging them to contact their representatives and advocate for this vital step toward climate literacy.
